Hello everyone, and thank you for always visiting my blog and looking at my illustrations! I truly enjoy creating and sharing my little world with you.
Lately, I've been reflecting on something that many creators might experience. As some of you may know, I also do some web design work. So, I have a decent understanding of how websites work, how to potentially reach more people, and the importance of things like social media for visibility.
However, when it comes to promoting my own illustrations and creative work, I find myself feeling a bit... hesitant, or perhaps just not very skilled at it. It's a bit of a funny irony, isn't it? Knowing the "how-to" aspect in theory, but struggling to apply it to my own passion projects.
There's this little internal conflict sometimes – the desire for more people to see and hopefully enjoy my art, versus my natural inclination to be a bit reserved when it comes to self-promotion. I'm not one to shout from the rooftops, so to speak. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing enough, or if there's a "right" way to go about it that I just haven't figured out yet.
It's not a major worry that keeps me up at night, but more of a gentle, recurring thought. Perhaps some of you can relate to this feeling?
Despite these little hesitations, my greatest joy still comes from the act of creating itself, and from knowing that my illustrations might bring a little bit of warmth or a smile to someone's day. Your visits, comments, and the simple act of you enjoying my work mean more to me than any number of views or likes.
I'll continue to create at my own pace, sharing what I love. And if you happen to like what you see, that in itself is the most wonderful encouragement.
